Bluestripe is celebrating its one-year anniversary by announcing that Justin Pearse has joined the agency as a partner.
Pearse joins Bluestripe founding partners Andy and Lydia Oakes, and will take an equal share in the business.
The move reunites Justin Pearse with Andy Oakes, who have worked together in varying roles for over fifteen years, originally running digital industry title New Media Age and then working at The Drum, where Andy was MD and global head of content and Justin founded and ran its award-winning branded content arm Drum Studios.
Justin joins Bluestripe from Digiday, which he joined to launch its creative content agency Custom in Europe.
“Digiday is a fantastic company but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to join Andy and Lydia in building a communications agency to help digital companies tell their stories better,” said Pearse. “Having worked in the digital industry for almost twenty years, I understand their unique challenges and how clever, integrated content and communications can help drive their business.”
“Bringing Justin into the agency is the next step in our growth plan,” said Bluestripe MD Andy Oakes. “His experience and industry knowledge will play a huge part in driving Bluestripe to the next level. It also means our clients have access to one of the foremost digital content producers going. We’re already hatching plans to take our clients messages to market in new and innovative ways”
